K Where the Wild Things Are

Students listened to the story, Where the Wild Things Are by Marice Sendak and studied the illustrations.  They created their own wild things based on story illustrations.  Students also think/pair/shared questions about the story and using inferencing, came up with their own narratives about their artworks.

    Love your site!
Can you please tell me the technique your Kindergartners used to create such fantastic art? ,...pastel and white marker?

  2. Aww, thank you! We used pencil first to draw shapes to create our Wild Things. We then traced them with silver sharpie and colored them with construction paper crayons! I'm certain pastel and white marker or white pencil would work too!
