Kindergarten Color Magic
Kindergarten watched the Magnificent Ms. R perform her version of color magic using magical jars of water and, naturally, magical food coloring! Don't forget your magic paintbrush... I mean wand, if you want the trick to work at home for you!
The following class, Kindergarten mixed food coloring with icing in baggies to make the yummiest, most colorful, and most magical snack ever!
We even sang the color song with Boowa and Kwala here.

Preppy & Kindergarten Chameleons
Our Pre-1 class and Kindergarten classes listened to the story, Chameleon's Colors by Chisato Tashiro. Chameleon was sick and tired of his colors and wanted to be just one color. The other animals in the jungle wished they could be a different color too. Chameleon came up with this excellent idea to paint his friends in wild colors only to find out it wasn't the best thing to do!
Students drew their chameleons to camouflage themselves with a background, just like in the story!

Kindergarten Sculptures
Kindergarten learned the difference between 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional objects as well as what defines a sculpture. An object in which one can see all of the different sides; top, bottom, sides, back and front is 3-dimensional. An object which is 3-dimensional and is also an artwork is considered a sculpture.
Kindergarten's challenge was to fold and sculpt 2-D paper to turn it into a sculpture.
